Yabber Yakka was founded by Liz Dickson an experienced Executive & Personal Coach who is passionate about helping people unleash their potential and measurable improve the quality of their life.
Prior to starting Yabber Yakka Liz held a range of senior UK and international management and director positions in both fast growing SMEs and large multinationals. Her experience has resulted in a pragmatic coaching approach which delivers tangible business benefits and positive impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of the companies she works with.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Industrial Relations; a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management; a certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy; a Practitioner and Master Practitioner in NLP; European NLP Coaching Certification and Executive Coaching Certification.
Liz works with an experienced team of professionals, coaches, trainers and facilitators who provide expertise and excellence in their chosen field. Members of the team are chosen as appropriate to work on specific projects according to their industry experience, expertise and cultural fit with the organisation.
Yabber Yakka - Meaning and Symbolism
My coaching philosophy is represented by our name and this unusual nephrite carving. Yabber Yakka is colloquial Australian Aboriginal meaning "talk work".The carving is Maori and combines a number of symbolic elements into one piece: the spiral depicts new beginnings, growth and harmony; the cross over represents the bonding of relationships and friendships; the hook represents strength and determination bringing prosperity, peace and good health. This represents the work we do with growing companies, the relationships we have with them and the prosperity that results through determined effort.
The name and the carving are from different cultures - I believe that working with people is about valuing and respecting diversity and being open to ideas that give meaning wherever we find them.
